Appin Electro-fusion
Principle: BHP
Duration: Aug 2017 - Sep 2017
Role: Contractor
Asia Pacific Piping Systems, in partnership with Georg Fisher, have supported a civil contractor with the installation and testing of three 1 000-millimetre Electro-Fusion couplers. This project required highly skilled personnel and specialised tooling to perform the works in tight, congested trenched areas.
Greater Brockman
Principle: Rio Tinto
Duration: Nov 2017 - Mar 2018
Role: Subcontractor
Pit de-watering and accompanying 14-kilometre pipelines across multiple sites installing PN16 110 millimetre to 250-millimetre HDPE throughout. Works included five de-watering bores, earthworks, pipeline installation, hydro-testing, Brownfield’s tie-ins, and service commissioning.
Parraburdoo Bores
Duration: Dec 2017 - Jan 2018
Role: Subcontractor
Installation, hydro-testing, and associated earthworks for 3.2 kilometres of PN16 HDPE in 160 millimetre and 250-millimetre diameters. The undertaking incorporated haul road, creek, and light-vehicle crossings in addition to tie-ins of existing tanks and bores.
Yandi Centrals
Duration: Nov 2017 - Dec 2017
Role: Subcontractor
Connection and installation of 2 kilometres of PN16 HDPE pipe ranging from 50 to 200 millimetres for the upgrade of plant infrastructure. The project was completed within a Brownfields area involving live plant and associated shutdowns. The scope also included 18 road crossings, earthworks, hydro-testing concerning potable, fire, and process water.
WTS Fire Repairs
Duration: Nov 2017 - Mar 2018
Role: Subcontractor
Extensive repairs and rectification work after widespread damage to major infrastructure assets in the Tom Price region and WTS mine site due to fire. Works included the removal of damaged pipelines and fittings, clearing and grading corridor for re-installation, pipe welding, and tie-ins.
Tom Price
Principle: Rio Tinto
Duration: Nov 2017 - Mar 2018
Role: Subcontractor
By working closely with key mining and operations stakeholders at Tom Price mine, APPS completed and restored services on time and with an exemplary safety record. These works were complete in conjunction with the WTS fire repairs.
Yandi Spinifex
Duration: May 2017 - Jun 2017
Role: Subcontractor
Connections of new chlorination plant, water discharge pump, existing pipelines, and infrastructure. The scope included HDPE welding, labour, equipment, and auxiliary tooling for the installation of DN50-DN160 COEX pipe, electro-fusion fittings, and live tie-ins within proximity to existing power, services, and other infrastructure.
Browns Range
Principle: Northern Minerals
Duration: May 2017 - May 2017
Role: Subcontractor
Installation of 14 kilometres of 125-millimetre and 160- millimetre HDPE pipelines connecting two bores to pilot plant and dosing tank. Provision of specialised HDPE welder and equipment, supporting plant operator for work in arid challenging remote location. Completion of scope ahead of planned schedule and under budget.
Yandi Anfo
Duration: Apr 2017 - May 2017
Role: Subcontractor
Upgrade of existing HDPE and copper potable water systems and piping infrastructure. Live dig ups and tie-ins near ammonia nitrate plant servicing fire suppression systems and eye wash stations. Works also included testing and chlorination of the newly installed pipework. Pipe sizes ranged from 25 millimetre up to 63 millimetres.
Western Turner
Duration: Feb 2017 - Oct 2017
Role: Subcontractor
Construction of 450-millimetre to 160-millimetre PN20 pipe network for connection with 7 bores. Scope of works includes the installation of 2 LV stands, haul road crossings, in-pit works and asbestos works. Subcontract supply of HDPE welding crews, supporting multi-licensed operators, HDPE welding equipment and specialised tooling.
Hope Down 4
Principle: Rio Tinto
Duration: Jan 2017 - Mar 2017
Role: Subcontractor
Installation of 355- millimetre SDR9 over 2.5 kilometres HDPE waste fines pipeline for three in-pit slurry droppers. The scope included live tie-ins to existing steel pipework, 110 millimetre and 250millimetre piped crossings at haul road culverts, supporting earthworks for LV/HV ramps at crossings, 710-millimetre culverts, containment ponds and hydro testing.
Yandi Project
Duration: Dec 2016 - Feb 2017
Role: Subcontractor
Construction of 1 kilometre of 355-millimetre HDPE pipeline near existing live infrastructure and other active work fronts. Construction included live tie ins to existing 900 metre pipelines and installation of subsequent offtakes. Subcontract supply of HDPE welder, operator, and supporting plant and equipment.
Silver Grass
Duration: Oct 2016 - Oct 2016
Role: Subcontractor
Installation of three LV pipe stands to existing pipelines and infrastructure. Supply of experienced pipeline welder, supporting labour, and specialised equipment/tooling on a subcontract basis to our client for the performance of works.
Eastern Ridge
Duration: Sep 2016 - Nov 2016
Role: Subcontractor
Provision of experienced subcontract labour as part of the site dewatering team. Labour hire of site qualified and VOC’d multi-licensed operator for integration into client’s project team.
West Angelas
Principle: Rio Tinto
Duration: Aug 2016 - Jan 2017
Role: Subcontractor
Installation of 17 kilometres HDPE pipeline ranging from 450- millimetres to 160- millimetres bore trailer connections, LV/HV standpipes, turkeys nest pipe work & pumps and Hydro testing. Provision of subcontracting services including Superintendent, HDPE welders, operator’s, plumbers, pipefitters, plant and equipment, servicing, and procurement.
